Haka Pōwhiri

Begin your Open Day experience with a warm QMC welcome. Te Whānau o Kuīni Mākareta will open the day with the sounds of the conch and pūrerehua, followed by a haka pōwhiri that reflects the spirit, culture and values of our school community.

Interactive Workshops

Get involved in a range of engaging, hands-on workshops designed for prospective students, current students and their whānau.

From Science and Technology to the Arts, Sport and more, these interactive experiences offer opportunities to explore new interests, develop skills and discover new possibilities. Guided by our talented teachers and coaches, you'll see what happens when curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated and learners are empowered to challenge themselves.

Subject Expo

Explore displays from across the school and discover the breadth of opportunities available at QMC. From academic subjects and specialist programmes to enrichment opportunities, pathways and co-curricular experiences, the Subject Expo offers a glimpse into the many ways students learn, grow and prepare for the future.

See what happens when students are encouraged to explore their interests, deepen their knowledge, discover new possibilities and pursue their passions. Our teachers and staff will be on hand throughout the day to meet students, parents and whānau, answer questions and share how QMC helps students challenge themselves, broaden their horizons and prepare for the future with confidence.

Speaker presentations

Join our educational leaders and expert teachers for a series of thought-provoking presentations exploring the opportunities and challenges of educating young people today.
Covering topics such as girls' education, learning and wellbeing, changes in New Zealand senior secondary qualifications, the benefits of an International Baccalaureate education and the distinctive opportunities available at QMC, these sessions are designed to inform, inspire and empower parents and whānau.

Through expert insights and practical perspectives on the skills and attributes students need to flourish in a changing world, you'll gain valuable knowledge and strategies to support your child's academic success, wellbeing and personal growth from Year 1 through to Year 13.

Performances

From music to culture, our student performers will showcase creativity, confidence and courage. More importantly, they'll show what happens when students discover their strengths, find their voice, embrace challenges and share their talents with others.

Marketplace

Browse our vibrant student-led Marketplace, where creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit are on full display. Featuring handmade crafts, artwork, treats and other unique creations for purchase, the Marketplace showcases what happens when students turn their ideas, talents and passions into something real. It's where creativity and entrepreneurship collide.
