Make a difference
At Queen Margaret College, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to learn, belong and thrive - fully, confidently and without barriers.
Within the coming months, there will be students at QMC whose health conditions will mean they can no longer access learning spaces on the second floor of the College. Without intervention, these students will be forced to leave the school they know and love, not because they lack ability or resilience, but because we lack the infrastructure to support their needs.
That is not who we are.
A Lift That Changes Everything
We need to raise $200,000 to install a lift that will ensure full access to second-floor learning spaces across the College.
This lift will enable students, staff, alumni and our community with health conditions or mobility challenges to remain fully engaged in learning. Protect continuity of education, friendships and wellbeing. Provide dignity, independence and equal access, and future-proof our campus for generations to come.
Why Your Support Matters
When students are unable to access classrooms, their learning experience becomes fragmented. More importantly, their sense of belonging can unravel. Being physically separated from peers or forced to leave the school altogether can deeply affect confidence, connection and identity - especially as they get older.
With your support, we can ensure that no student will ever have to leave QMC because their health needs outpace our facilities.
- This is about ensuring we never have to say to a family “we can’t support your daughter”.
- The lift protects learning, but more importantly, it protects belonging.
- Health challenges can affect any family - this ensures care is built in, not retrofitted.
