A strong holistic approach

One of the strongest findings across all stakeholder groups was that QMC is holistically developing students who are:

  • Growing academically
  • Developing strong character
  • Benefiting from high-quality co curricular opportunities
  • Being prepared for life beyond school

Student development was the highest-performing domain for both parents and staff, reflecting strong confidence in the growth and outcomes being achieved by QMC students.

Parents have exceptional confidence in QMC

The report showed exceptionally strong indicators that families value and trust the experience QMC provides.

Parent confidence was exceptional, with nine out of ten parents satisfied with their experience at QMC. Parent advocacy was among the strongest results recorded by McCrindle across schools surveyed in New Zealand and Australia.

Our parents are confident in the educational direction of QMC. They believe in and are behind the school’s vision.

According to parents, QMC's top five strengths are:

  • Students are growing academically
  • Co-curricular activities add to the student experience (e.g. sport, music, drama)
  • The values of the school community
  • Students are inspired to learn
  • There is a safe and supportive learning environment.

For parents, the highest-performing domain was student development, reflecting strong confidence in the growth and outcomes being achieved by QMC students.

Students thrive academically, personally and are well-equipped for the future

Our students are clear about what makes QMC such a special experience. They agree with parents and staff that part of what makes QMC strong is the many co-curricular opportunities and that students are growing academically.

According to students, QMC's other key strengths are:

  • The strong connections between students
  • The values of the school community
  • Students are being prepared to succeed in life after school

For students, the highest-performing domain was schooling experience, highlighting a positive and engaging experience of school life at QMC.

While our student scores were much lower than parents and staff, they were higher than students at other schools in New Zealand and Australia. McCrindle have reassured us that as a general cohort, students tend to be much more critical of their schooling experience and sometimes lower numbers can reflect a lack of other educational experiences to compare with.
