End of Year Term Dates - 2025

There's a lot to think about at this time of year, we've compiled the key dates and information for your end of year arrangements, all in one place.

2025 Arrangements for Term 4 Week 8 (Monday 24 November - Friday 28 November)

 

Monday 24 November - Wednesday 26 November

Normal classes are running for the Junior School, Middle School, and 12IB Diploma students.

The last lessons for 12IB Diploma students are on Wednesday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thursday 27 November (Senior Prize Giving)

Normal classes are running for the Junior and Middle Schools (Years 1-10). 

 

For senior students (Y11-13) and staff:

10.30am: Senior School year-group meetings (Year 11 in The Auditorium, Year 12 in PW3/4, and Year 13 in Hobson House) A register will be taken here.

 

11.00am: Senior School to Hall for a prizegiving rehearsal

 

12.30pm: Seniors dismissed until the evening.

 

6.30pm: Senior School students report to tutor teachers and deans to get a seat allocation. All students should be wearing blazers, but they can take them off once in the Hall if they are too warm. Prize winners must wear blazers when collecting prizes.

 

7.00pm: Senior School prizegiving begins.

 

9.30pm: Refreshments for students and parents: (Years 11 and 12 in the Atrium; Year 13 in the Old Hall)

 

Students should return any cups and trophies they have been awarded to Mrs Rawlings as they leave the Hall after they have had any photos they wish taken in the Auditorium.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday 28 November

8.30am: House breakfasts on the front lawn – BYO food (Lochleven Auditorium, Glamis Hobson Gym, Braemar PW3/4, Stirling Old Gym, Berwick C9 if wet)

 

9.15am: Middle School (Years 7-10) tutor time and Senior School (Years 11-13) year-group meetings (Year 11 in The Auditorium, Year 12 in PW3/4, and Year 13 in Hobson House)

 

9.30am: Final House Banners assembly in the Hall

 

10.20am: Interval

 

11.00am: Carol Service in the Hall

 

12.00pm: Year 13 Farewell

 

12.30pm: Seniors dismissed for the year (Year 13 leavers dinner at 6pm)

 

Afternoon classes for the Junior and Middle School (Years 1-10) will resume as normal (return to period 3 classes when finished until lunch).

Please remember, your attendance is noted and we ask you to celebrate with us. Lift each other up and enjoy being with your QMC whanau.

Monday 1 December

Normal classes for Junior School and Years 7, 8, and 10, Year 9 will celebrate Elizabethan Day.

Tuesday 2 December

Normal classes for Junior and Middle School (Years 1-10)

 

 

 

 

 

Wednesday 3 December

Please note, QMCafe will be closed today.

 

Periods 1, 4, 5 and 6 are normal classes for Years 7 to 10.

 

9.25am: Middle School prizegiving rehearsal

 

10.40am: Middle School haka powhiri rehearsal in Hobson Gym

 

11.20am: House Leaders vote in House areas. Return to class for Period 4

 

1.35pm: Junior School students return to tutor classes and go over to the Hall

 

1.40pm: Junior School prizegiving rehearsal

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thursday 4 December

8.30am: Tutor time, room pack down and locker check

 

9.15am: Interval

 

9.35am: Students return to tutor rooms for a uniform check and to receive a seating allocation for prizegiving. All students should be wearing blazers, but they can take them off once in the Hall if they are too warm. Prize winners must wear blazers when collecting prizes.

 

9.45am: Students go over to the Hall and sit in their allocated seats

 

10.00am: Middle School prizegiving

 

12.00pm: Students should return any cups and trophies they have been awarded to Mrs Rawlings as they leave the Hall after they have had any photos they wish taken in the Auditorium.

Students return to their tutor class for a final clear up and to collect Te Karere and any lost property. Lost property left after 5 December will be donated to charity.

 

12.15pm: Middle School students released

 

1.00pm: Junior School prizegiving

Students should return any cups and trophies they have been awarded to Mrs Rawlings as they leave the Hall after they have had any photos they wish taken in the Auditorium.

Friday 5 December Teachers Only Day.
