Queen Margaret College Celebrates Outstanding 2025 Academic Results Across Dual Pathways

Queen Margaret College is proud to celebrate the exceptional academic achievements of the Class of 2025. We offer a genuine dual‑pathway model - the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) – that empowers students to choose the qualification that best aligns with their strengths, aspirations, and learning style.

This year’s results reflect not only the depth of academic opportunity at QMC, but also the strength of our teaching, the commitment of our students, and the unwavering support of their families.

A Dual Pathway Designed for Choice and Challenge

From Year 11, students engage in our bespoke ELEVATE learning programme, gaining a full NCEA Level 1 qualification while building the skills and confidence needed for NCEA Level 2 or the IB Diploma. This intentional design ensures every student is well prepared for senior study — whichever pathway they choose.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Results 2025

As an IB World School offering the International Baccalaureate from Preschool to Year 13, QMC is committed to developing globally minded, intellectually curious young people. The IB Diploma challenges students to think critically, collaborate, and make connections across disciplines — preparing them for a rapidly changing world where adaptability and breadth of knowledge are essential.

In 2025, 44 students – half of the cohort – elected to take the Diploma. Congratulations to the Class of 2025 for their exceptional results:

- 98% pass rate, continuing QMC’s long tradition of excellence (including 12 perfect pass rates in the last 15 years).

-Average score of 34 points, significantly higher than the global average of 29.3.

-3 students earned bilingual diplomas, demonstrating exceptional linguistic and cultural capability.

These results reflect the expertise of our IB teaching staff — many of whom are experienced IB examiners, trainers, and workshop leaders — and the personalised support offered through 1:1 mentoring, subject help rooms, and robust data tracking.
