Jayne-Ann Young – Principal

Jayne-Ann Young commenced as Principal at Queen Margaret College in August 2017. Jayne-Ann returned to New Zealand for the role after spending six years as a consultant and master trainer for Professor John Hattie and the Visible Learning team at Cognition Education.

Holly Payne – Deputy Principal, Learning & Teaching

Holly's varied teaching career has included all her passions in life – education, service, physical activity, celebration, fun and critical thinking. A tenacious advocate of the benefits of the International Baccalaureate programmes, Holly has led the Diploma Programme (IBDP) at Queen Margaret College since 2015. An experienced NZQA and IB examiner, she understands excellence in both curricula. Holly is a dynamic leader who believes in empowering young people to be the best they can be.

Fiona Crawford - Deputy Principal, Wellbeing

Fiona’s passion for manaakitanga, for the wellbeing of the students is at the forefront of her teaching and leadership. She comes with diverse experience from a range of schools having had a focus on pastoral care and future focused learning in her leadership roles. Fiona’s committed to our rangitahi leaving QMC with a range of wellbeing strategies and 21st Century skills ready to be successful in our global society.

Ainsley Rawlings - Deputy Principal Operations

Service to others and her country has been at the centre of Ainsley’s career choices. After nearly a decade in the Royal New Zealand Navy, Ainsley chose to retrain as an educator to share her passion for leadership and education outside the classroom with students in the UK and New Zealand. She comes to the school with considerable experience in boarding schools, the delivery of adventurous activities and has continued her military service with her focus now on cadets in the community. Ainsley believes that education should be a complete package with academic study, pastoral care and engagement outside the classroom the tools to grow independent, confident young leaders.

Jan Treeby – Head of Junior School

Jan’s hands-on approach means that all our youngest students will get to know QMC’s Head of Junior School. Her 26 years in education combines leadership experience in Wellington schools, but also behavioural and learning-focused roles at the Ministry for Education.

Robert Whitefield – Director Finance

Chartered accountant with a career spanning public practice, corporate, construction, government, and education, Robert brings a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of financial governance to his role. He has held senior leadership positions across a range of organisations and is known for his ability to navigate complexity, influence decision-making at board level, and deliver sustainable outcomes.

Christina Mossaidis - Director Engagement & Communications

Christina brings a wealth of experience from the tertiary education sector, senior commercial roles and creative agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather. Christina values work that improves the wellbeing and prosperity of New Zealanders, especially young people and with a daughter in the Junior School she is especially proud to be a part of the QMC whānau.

Stephanie Quin – Head of Digital Strategy and Transformation

With a background in technology consulting, Stephanie brings extensive experience to help QMC achieve our digital aspirations. She has led teams on complex digital projects across multiple industries and tech platforms. Stephanie is a passionate advocate for women in tech, inspiring and supporting women to thrive in digital careers. She is a TechWomen NZ member and the inaugural woman on the MTIE leadership committee, an Australian-based ICT professionals’ group in schools. Stephanie has three daughters at QMC.

Gillian Peacock – People and Capability Manager

Gillian is an experienced HR practitioner, senior leader, coach and facilitator, and has held general management human resources roles in private, public sector and not for profit organisations. In her role at QMC, Gillian is focused on developing leadership and capability and ensuring our people have the tools and resources to do their jobs well. Gillian holds a degree in psychology and sociology, she is an accredited ICC coach, holds a diploma in counselling, a national certificate in public sector management (leadership development) and a certificate in health and wellbeing.
