Voces Luces Dare to Share Bon Voyage Concert

Sunday 21 June

Join us for a truly special, one-night-only concert as Voces Luce, QMC’s premier choir, share the extraordinary repertoire they will perform on their upcoming European tour.

In a few weeks, Voces Luce will proudly represent Queen Margaret College and Aotearoa New Zealand at the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna, alongside performances across Austria and the Czech Republic. This Bon Voyage concert is your chance to experience their programme before they take it to the world stage (see more below) and help them fundraise for the tour.

This promises to be a joyful, heartfelt evening – bringing together music, community, and celebration! 


Choose from three ticket types:


Bon Voyage Premium Ticket:
Ground floor allocated seating with premium views + a thank you gift – $40


Standard Ticket:
Ground floor or mezzanine allocated seating– $20


Student Ticket:
Ground floor or mezzanine allocated seating– $10


For all ticket types you will be able to select your seat. 

All proceeds from ticket sales go directly towards supporting the choir’s European tour.


About the Evening

Make an evening of it and come early to enjoy the full experience:


  • 💠Vienna-inspired sausage sizzle on arrival from 5pm. 
  • 💠Browse and bid online at our Silent Auction – more than 30 incredible items generously donated by the QMC community and wider network (see more info below). All proceeds go directly towards supporting the choir’s European tour.
  • 💠From 6pm you will hear from two of our fantastic choirs, Celesta and Jubilate. Voces Luces will then present their full European repertoire. 
  • 💠Enjoy delicious food and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase at intermission. Be sure to visit “Café Wien” for Viennese-inspired delights, including sliders, baked goods, and a warming hot Viennese apple drink! 
  • 💠Stay after the concert and enjoy delicious waffles for purchase and connect with friends, 💠whānau, choir members, and our wider QMC community!

What Happens When A Woman?
Performing our very own arrangement of 'What Happens When a Woman?'. This powerful ode to female empowerment has become something of an anthem for QMC and has been showcased nationwide on television and cinema advertisements, and online.


Waiata Māori Set
A collection of six waiata featuring te reo Māori introductions, guitar, ā‑ringa (actions), and expressive kupu that honour our heritage and celebrate our unique voices on the international stage.


Solo Performances
Showcasing our individual talents through beautiful instrumental and vocal solos.


Competition Set

A dynamic programme of seven pieces featuring English, French, Latin, Sephardic/Ladino, and te reo Māori.The set concludes with a new commissioned work written to celebrate Director of Choirs Mark Stamper’s 10 years with Voces Luce, a powerful milestone for both the choir and its leader.
