Foundation Trust

Formed in 2005, the QMC Foundation Trust ensures the ongoing financial security of the college. The generosity of past supporters has helped to provide some of the facilities our students enjoy.

The current Trust is a dedicated group of connected community members, including parents, staff, students and Board of Governor’s members who recognise that schools should be thoughtful, engaging and community-infused spaces that lend to the goals of our community.

The Trust furthers the school’s missions by supporting fundraising for buildings and scholarships which improve the special character of the school while facilitating the delivery of the highest quality education to our young women in the modern era, and beyond.

For those interested in learning more about how the Foundation Trust is building contemporary ways of learning or those wishing to offer their support, bequests or financial donations please contact foundation@qmc.school.nz or visit https://qmc-foundation-trust.raisely.com/en/ to see how you can help.

New Independent Trustees Welcome

The Foundation Trust is seeking exceptional individuals who would like to contribute to the success of Queen Margaret College by joining us as ‘independent trustees.'

The college’s Foundation Trust is a dedicated group of community members, including parents, staff, students, and Board of Governors members who believe that schools should be thoughtful and engaging spaces that lend to the goals of the community they serve.

We work to further the college’s missions by supporting fundraising for buildings and scholarships which improve the special character of the college while facilitating the delivery of the highest quality education to girls and young women in the modern era and beyond.

The successful candidates will have a passion for the College and time available to devote to our projects and goals. At our core, we fundraise for the College and the successful candidates need to be comfortable with that function. The Foundation Trust meets eight times per year but additional time for event planning and attendance should be factored in.

The Foundation Trust is an independent registered charity and members give their time and expertise on a voluntary basis in line with our not-for-profit status.

If you believe you meet the above requirements and would like to contribute to the future of the College, we strongly encourage you to put your name forward. A panel of three Foundation Trust members will run a short selection process with informal interviews to appoint appropriate new independent trustees.

To apply, please send a brief letter to the Foundation Trust Chair, foundation@qmc.school.nz with a CV/resume. Feel free to discuss your interest with the Chair also.

We are eager to fill these positions and will be undertaking a continuous interview process as applications are received.

Peter Mahoney, Foundation Trust Chair
