Cross-Curricular Programme

The Cross-Curricular Programme has been developed to provide our students with the opportunity to pursue their personal interests while reinforcing the attributes of the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning – research skills, social skills, thinking skills, communication skills and self-management skills.

The programme’s offering is broad and allows students of all ages to extend their potential beyond the classroom.

Places are limited and are issued on a first-come basis.

The Term 4 programme runs from Week 2 to Week 7.

Chess Club

This term we are running a chess-club experiment to give your tamariki an opportunity to become familiar with this ancient abstract strategy game. The sessions mostly follow the established Common Core Aligned Chess Curriculum and are designed to be fun and engaging for everyone, even if your daughter has never seen a chess board before. Equally, the girls who know how to play will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the game.
Students will need to bring an A4 or A5 notebook to their chess classes.
