Press Release: Queen Margaret College becomes the first school in New Zealand to become an official partner of Make-A-Wish Foundation New Zealand

At the first in-person assembly in almost two years on Monday, Principal Jayne-Ann Young and CEO of Make-A-Wish New Zealand Pam Elgar announced the official partnership of Queen Margaret College and Make-A-Wish Foundation New Zealand.

"Our mission is to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses to give them hope, strength and joy. We believe these wishes are transformational for the child, and therefore all our work is based on positive psychology and through the implementation of what we call the wish journey." - Make-A-Wish New Zealand.

QMC values generosity and service, and by partnering with Make-A-Wish Foundation New Zealand, students at all levels can get involved in this collaboration. All students will fundraise to grant wishes, and Senior students are able to extend on this by supporting anticipation and understanding of the wish journey.

Upon their graduation from QMC, students can continue their relationship with Make-A-Wish Foundation New Zealand, maintaining their support through their future endeavours.
