Pastoral Care

Queen Margaret College prides itself on its family atmosphere. The fundamental purpose of the College's pastoral care programme is to promote involvement between teachers and students. Every girl needs to have a relationship with at least one or two adults characterized by warmth, concern, understanding and openness. Each student is placed in a form class whereby, on a daily basis, she meets with the same student group and Form Teacher for the calendar year.

Each year level has a Dean who has overall responsibility for the year group and works with all staff involved with those girls. At the beginning of each year, the College hosts an evening for parents. At this event, Deans address parents about their expectations for the year. Deans can be contacted by email or phone and are always happy to hear from parents and address any issues which may arise.

The 2011 Deans are:
Year 7- Ms. Jill Anderson
Year 8- Mrs. Natasha Selkirk
Year 9- Mrs. Mary Wood
Year 10- Ms. Sara Brown
Year 11- Mrs Michelle Tewkesbury
Year 12- Ms Laura Davison
Year 13 - Miss Milada Pivac
