The Pre-School is a learning community where there is a commitment to developing all aspects of the child. As well as the Junior School, it is authorised to teach the International Baccalaureate Primary Years' Programme (PYP). The Pre-School programme is based on Te Whariki, but uses the IB-PYP approach to deliver the aims and objectives.

Both of these programmes are designed around questioning and inquiry. The Pre-School also aims to lay strong foundations of early literacy and numeracy.
