Development Manager

Our focus is to ensure funding for the future development of Queen Margaret College. The Development Manager oversees and coordinates the financial development and friend and fundraising programmes for the College community. And to work with the Old Girls Association and the Parents Association to foster reconnection.

The Development Manager promotes and manages the Queen Margaret Foundation Trust. In 2004 the school undertook the complete refurbishment of the Old Hall and Tower. This was a substantial financial undertaking and prompted a review of the financial future of the College by the Board of Governors. The outcome was the establishment of the QMC Foundation Trust in 2005. School fees provide the operational funding but to secure the future of QMC as an independent school and develop the school's facilities, substantial capital reserves are required.

Our fund raising journey has only just begun. The Hobson Development will become the legacy of this generation. The Foundation will grow its capital base from pledges, bequests, grant applications and all manner of fundraising activities.
