Hobson Development » Hobson House Jigsaw
What is happening to Hobson House?
Hobson House is making way for the new Hobson Development. This two storey complex includes a full-size gymnasium on the ground floor with seating for up to 120 spectators plus physical education classrooms and fitness rooms.
It will also house the new, spacious Year 13 Common Room with its own private courtyard. On the first floor there will be four state-of-the- art classrooms and facilities for the teaching of languages.
What is the Hobson Jigsaw?
We understand the significance which Hobson House has had for many students at QMC since it's purchase over 30 years ago. Due to this we want to keep a part of Hobson House in yours and our memory forever. This will be done through the following:
The Hobson Jigsaw is a 2m x 2.5m photographic impression of Hobson House which has been refashioned as a large jigsaw.
Each piece of the jigsaw is 124mm x 124mm and represents part of Hobson House and its garden. Once Hobson Development has been built the Hobson Jigsaw will hang in the new Year 13 Common Room.
How do I become a part of the history of Hobson House?
Each piece costs $500 and will have your name and final year at school attached to it.
Numbers are limited, and preferred pieces will be sold on a strictly first in first served basis.
