Community

At Queen Margaret College we pride ourselves on the 'family' feeling that pervades the school. It is a feeling of belonging that stems from the school's holistic approach to education. The 'QMC community' is comprised of students and Old Girls, staff and Board and all those people who have in the past contributed to the College's well-being in some capacity. Many of these relationships span three or four generations.

Our wider family includes:

• the Board of Governors, the Foundation and Members of College
• the Old Girls' Association whose strong following meets regularly in Wellington and beyond
• the Parents' Association, an organisation which contributes a great deal to the College socially and through fund-raising
• the international body of Margaret Schools, the International Baccalaureate Organisation, the Alliance of Girls' Schools and Independent Schools of New Zealand.
