Co-curricular

The college caters for students from Years 1 to 13 through a wide range of academic, cultural, sporting, social and religious programmes.
2008 ERO Review

At QMC, opportunities abound to participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities. The importance of girls following their passions and developing their interests and leadership skills through a wide-ranging co-curricular programme is acknowledged. Team and individual sports allow for a diversity of sporting opportunities such as rowing, waterpolo and netball for players, umpires and student coaches. Our many regional and national sporting representatives cover a variety of codes.

Students participate in music, drama and art. These are recognised as strengths of the College with many students taking advantage of the co-curricular opportunities offered.

Debating and public speaking encourage our girls to be articulate and confident. Annual Year 9 Musicals involve every girl at that year level and we stage major productions.

Working in teams develops social skills and the resilience to cope with success and failure. We recognise the value of sports and performing arts in preparing our students for future challenges in life.
