Boarding House Manager
Queen Margaret College is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Bronwyn Petrie who has joined the school as the Boarding House Manager of Queen Margaret House.
Originally from Christchurch, Bronwyn has an extensive background in working in boarding schools and for the past four years has worked in one of the top boarding schools in the United Kingdom. As part of this role she was the manager of the school’s boarding house and responsible for the pastoral care, safety and welfare of 60 plus pupils, a mix of international and British girls aged between 13-years-old and 18-years-old.
Bronwyn says she believes it is “an honour and a privilege to look after someone else’s children” and is looking forward to creating a vibrant, caring and safe boarding house environment at Queen Margaret House with the help of the students and the boarding house team. She believes a boarding house should be a supportive and stable home base that will allow the girls to grow in confidence and contribute to both Queen Margaret College and boarding life in a positive way.In her own time Bronwyn enjoys nature, the great outdoors, shopping and a good coffee.
She has travelled the UK and Europe with her husband, Keith, and has two grown up children and six grandchildren. She is looking forward to exploring what Wellington has to offer and making it home.
